My idea for my final project is an animated digital painting of a landscape, in which wind affects the subjects of the painting. This will require me to actually create a painting (preferably at home because Krita, my painting software, isn't on the school computers, and because the tablets at school are tiny). I will also need access to the latest stable release of the Krita animation beta in order to animate the painting, as I will be working in .kra files (which Photoshop does not support).
I chose this option because the tools required to animate a painting are almost always loaded onto a digital artist's computer, but rarely taken advantage of. Why waste software? My final logo design was made in both Sketchup and Tinkercad. I used Sketchup for the base in order to create arcs and used Tinkercad for the holes because it's easier to create them.
I like these logos because they're minimalist and aren't just a font with clipart. They reflect a theme with every letter and the choices that the designer made. They're interesting because you can see the theme but still read it with ease. The shapes used to make the designs also reflect the theme: the Eight logo is made out of eights, the London Symphony Orchestra logo is one smooth, unified line, and the Cord logo is made out of two cords which are looped around into the final design.
I like the Eight logo because of its use of the letter eight and its unique and creative design. I created a drawing of a room in Photoshop using the line tool and one-point perspective. I colored my lines and used the airbrush to create shadows and highlights.
