I chose to do this project because I thought the portrait would be very cool to recreate. It is hard to be as good as a professional artist, but this project did look like the project by Craig Redman and Karl Maier, but with some minor flaws. I decided to recreate this particular portrait because it was a very bold and noticeable portrait. It really caught my attention. I wanted people to be interested when they look at my portrait.
I made this portrait by first using a picture of myself facing sideways. Then, I traced the outline of my face and hair. I added stripes to the background by coloring the whole thing black and then using white stripes and equal distance apart from each other. After that, I sectioned off my face and colored in my eye and mouth. After that, I colored the sections of my face in different colors. After that, I colored my hair using stripes and the same method as before. That is how I finished my project.
