My project is composed of images of sunsets and sunrises taken from the windows of my condo building. The sunrises are taken from my balcony facing the lake, and the sunsets are taken from the opposite side of the building over the nearby parking garage. I took all the pictures on my IPhone then airdropped them to my computer. After collecting all the pictures, I put them in IMovie and make them into a slideshow-style video.
The other element of my project is the audio. I have a track of myself singing 'I See Fire' by Ed Sheeran that I edited over the images in the movie. The guitar behind my voice is played by my father. We recorded it in our living room after spending many nights practicing how to work together when recording. It was challenging because I had to change the key of the song to fit his guitar and harmonize. I wanted to do this song because it fits well with the pictures, is fun to sing, and is from 'The Hobbit' which is a movie that I really love.
The hardest part of doing the project was waking up early to photograph the sunrise, and making sure I was home and available to take a picture of the sunset every day.
