For my final project, I focused on using ROBLOX to make a recreation of the Chicago Transit Authority Yellow Line. The Yellow line was formally named "The Skokie Swift". Over a span of a few weeks, I was able to complete a recreation that follows the tracks of the Skokie Swift. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I wanted to have the best outcome on the video, I had to decrease the detail present for props. (e.g. trees, streets, housing complexes). This was in order to decrease the latency present.

These are previous designs that I was considering for my 3D logo design using Photoshop and TinkerCad.
For my final project, I will be making a recreation of the CTA yellow line tracks using ROBLOX. (Option 5). I chose this option because I have been using ROBLOX Studio for a while now, and familiar with the system and I enjoy the Chicago Transit Authority. The only equipment I need is ROBLOX which is on my desktop computer at home and the macintosh computers at school.
1). The first screenshot that I found was a font that began large, shrunk, then began to grow again. I liked how instead of just remaining the same size, each letter grew. This interested me because I saw it as a unique design that illustrated the mood of life. The final two screenshots were more smoothed. The second screenshot was more clean and precise while the third screenshot was more "curved" inward.
2). The shapes that were used to create this were all geometric. For example, when looking at the "C", you can see that each segment forms a rectangle and depending on how smooth they are, they give a different "character" to each letter. 3). My favorite screenshot is the first screenshot (coffee), as the position/size of each letter was able to contribute to the larger picture in a way that I would never consider doing. |
